In mid-November I had the chance to spend several hours photographing
and observing gulls roosting at the Chapora river estuary in Goa. I
think the bulk of these were barabensis, with some cachinnans
and perhaps the odd heuglini. But given some of the lack of
knowledge about separating these forms and the lack of photos showing
juveniles and adults in moult of these birds, I am not sure of the
identification of quite a few of the individuals. I've put a
selection of photos on this site: view
adults here, and first
calendar year birds here. I'd be very grateful for any feedback on
them, to clivegharris@yahoo.com. |
