Only bird in flock to have greater coverts
this extensively barred. Bill is beginning to show some pale at the
base, as was the case for what seemed to be obvious barabensis.
The upper and under tail coverts were also more heavily marked than in
most other birds. The greater covert pattern is more typical for
Armenian Gull, although I am not suggesting it is this form. |
